Pec pod Sněžkou is the hub of SkiResort ČERNÁ HORA – PEC, which the operator calls Czechia's largest ski resort: five areas in the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains) on one lift pass, 43.7 km of pistes in total (our sum; the operator says 50). By car it is about 2.5 hours from Prague, 3.5 from Dresden and a little over 4 from Berlin. The 2026/27 adult day pass costs CZK 1,190 online on 3 November (about €49), CZK 950 from 15 March; the operator calls the regular price dynamic, up to CZK 1,590. Day passes go on sale on 5 December; no opening date is fixed. Around Prague checked prices, hours and rules on the official websites on 3 November 2026.

Is Pec worth it?

Yes for families, beginners and fans of wide intermediate runs (longest run 2.6 km), with learning areas and the Funline. Compare Skiing in Czechia 2026/27 and Špindlerův Mlýn; the mountain has its own guide: Sněžka.

Parking, access and ski bus

Where to stay in Pec and around

Before booking ask: how far is the lift or ski bus stop? Is there parking or an access permit? Does the host issue the Karta Krkonoš guest card? It gives 30% off evening passes at the desk and makes days 4–7 of continuous parking free at P1, P5 and P6. The town's accommodation list marks hosts with the card.
