Špindlerův Mlýn (Spindlermühle) is worth a ski weekend if 27 km of pistes and a top height of 1,235 metres are enough for you. By car it takes about 2 hours from Prague, just over 3 from Dresden and nearly 5 from Berlin. An adult day pass for 2026/27 costs CZK 780 to 1,390 online and CZK 1,990 at the ticket desk. The season officially opens on 12 December 2026. November is the dead season: only the Medvědín chairlift runs, and only on a few days. Around Prague checked prices, operating dates and rules on the official websites of the resort, the town and the national park administration on 2 November 2026.
Yes, for beginners, families and intermediate skiers on a short trip. The resort in the Krkonoše (Giant Mountains) has about 27 km of pistes in five areas and about 90 km of cross-country trails, but it does not replace the Alps. Alternatives are in our guide to skiing in Czechia 2026/27.
| Area | Main lift | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Svatý Petr | heated six-seat chairlift, 748–1,185 m | wide blue run for beginners, red, black FIS World Cup run |
| Medvědín | four-seat chairlift, 743–1,233 m | blue, two reds, black; sunny, the highest point |
| Hromovka | four-seat chairlift, 702–1,036 m | two red runs, funtrack, night skiing |
| Horní Mísečky | four-seat chairlift to Medvědín | wide gentle slope for children and beginners, snowpark |
| Labská | three-seat chairlift | red forest run, quieter, popular with families |
A valley separates Svatý Petr and Medvědín, linked by a free ski bus (2026/27 timetable not out yet). From 12 December 2026 the heated Audi Line Přehradní chairlift is due to run from the P1 terminal towards Hromovka, with two new runs, Přehradní and Lesní. You can then ski from Medvědín to Svatý Petr, but only that way. The return link, a cable car to Medvědín, is planned for 2027/28. The cable was still being spliced on 8 October, so treat the date as a plan.
There is no fixed price list: online prices change with demand, weather and purchase date. On 2 November we read the official calendar for all 121 days, 5 December 2026 to 4 April 2027.
