Czech StarDance anniversary show: no elimination, scores carry over

No one eliminated from StarDance this time: scores carry over to next round

On Saturday, 7 November, no contestant left the show during the anniversary episode of the Czech programme StarDance. The decision came as a surprise to the dancers themselves. The points they earned carry over to the next round, on 14 November, after which only five couples will remain on the dance floor.

The unusual twist fit the celebratory theme: the show has remained one of the most popular television programmes in Czechia for two decades.

Anniversary statistics

Host Marek Eben noted that the episode was the show's 122nd live broadcast, and his own 123rd. His co-host Tereza Kostková has missed only one evening, during the Covid pandemic, when she was replaced by Aleš Háma. Kostková added that over twenty years 128 contestants have taken part in the show, taught to dance by 67 professionals.

The task for the evening was to choose music from the year the celebrity turned twenty. The performances were judged by Zdeněk Chlopčík, Tatiana Drexler, Jana Burkevičová and Richard Genzer.

The season's first 10

The evening's leader was singer Vojtěch Dyk with his partner Katarin Malek. Their rumba earned 37 points, and Richard Genzer gave it the first 10 of this season. Chlopčík said the dance was in rhythm and sexy, but fell short of perfection in the torso: Dyk's hips kept “running away” backwards.

In second place was actor Tomáš Sean Pšenička with Natalia Otagova. Their rumba scored 36 points: the judges liked both the choreography and the way it developed, and Burkevičová called the routine “a beautiful, tender story”.

Singer Marta Jandová and Martin Prágr danced a jive and scored 32 points. Chlopčík praised their huge energy and quick feet. Singer Luciana Tomašová and Robin Ondráček failed to convince the judges with their rumba: Drexler noted that their steps repeatedly missed the music.

Actress Sára Prachař Sandeva and Daniel Makovec performed a slow foxtrot and received 26 points. Burkevičová noted that the turns had improved, but the torso still lacks stability. Bringing up the rear is actor Tomáš Matonoha with Lenka Nora Navorková: they received 22 points for their slow foxtrot. The judges noticed progress since the previous round but advised them to concentrate better.

Final judges' scores for 7 November 2026:

Vojtěch Dyk and Katarin Malek (rumba) — 37
Tomáš Sean Pšenička and Natalia Otagova (rumba) — 36
Marta Jandová and Martin Prágr (jive) — 32
Luciana Tomašová and Robin Ondráček (rumba) — 30
Sára Prachař Sandeva and Daniel Makovec (slow foxtrot) — 26
Tomáš Matonoha and Lenka Nora Navorková (slow foxtrot) — 22
