Five fire crews extinguish house fire in Velké Svatoňovice

A fire broke out in a private house in the village of Velké Svatoňovice in the Hradec Králové Region, requiring five fire crews to bring it under control. According to the Hradec Králové Region fire service, no one was injured.

Upon arrival, firefighters first inspected the building, cut off its electricity and shut off the gas supply, before starting to tackle the blaze and preventing it from spreading to neighbouring buildings. Once the fire was contained, crews extinguished any hidden pockets of flame and checked all affected rooms. The fire was ultimately brought fully under control.

Damage and cause of the fire

Preliminary damage from the fire is estimated at 1.2 million crowns, while the value of the property saved is put at roughly 3.5 million crowns. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined and remains under investigation.

Professional firefighters from the Trutnov and Velké Poříčí units took part in tackling the blaze, alongside volunteer fire brigades from Velké Svatoňovice, Malé Svatoňovice and Úpice.
