Gašpar and Šutaj Eštok booed at Bardejov fair

The Slovak town of Bardejov is hosting its 53rd annual Bardejov Fair, which runs until Sunday. On Thursday, the event was visited by Deputy Speaker of Parliament Tibor Gašpar from the Smer-SD party and Interior Minister Matúš Šutaj Eštok, chairman of the Hlas-SD party.

Instead of a warm welcome, the politicians were met with a wave of discontent: as soon as their names were announced, the crowd began loudly whistling and jeering. This happened even though both men turned to face the audience and greeted them.

Also attending the fair were Agriculture Minister Richard Takáč (Smer-SD) and Health Minister Kamil Šaško (Hlas-SD). Unlike their colleagues, they were greeted with applause.
