IFA 2026 unveils a printer that turns kids' voice requests into coloring pages

At the IFA 2026 electronics show in Berlin, Kingstar unveiled an unusual gadget — a compact printer that uses artificial intelligence to turn a child's spoken request into a ready-made black-and-white coloring page. Just press a button and say what you want, say, a dragon — and within moments the device prints out the corresponding picture.
The small red box, equipped with its own display and a voice-control button, processes the child's request through a neural network that generates an image and immediately prints it onto paper. At the company's booth in Berlin, visitors could see sample printouts of dragons, cats and other animals — each one a unique drawing, generated fresh every time a new idea comes to mind.
No ink, no cartridges
The printer relies on thermal printing technology, so there's no need for an ink cartridge — just special thermal paper. According to the manufacturer, the device has a resolution of 200 dpi, a 2.8-inch screen, and connects via Wi-Fi. Its body is compact enough to fit into a large pocket, so kids can take it anywhere.
The gadget is called the AI Voice-to-Image Mini Printer. Besides generating pictures from voice commands, it can also print regular photos, images and stickers, depending on the type of paper loaded.
Voice control instead of an app
The main selling point of the new device is how it's operated: there's no need to type anything into an app — a simple spoken phrase is enough. This simplicity could be the key advantage for children, whose ideas turn into a physical drawing in a matter of seconds — one they can then color in themselves.
Kingstar representatives hope to bring the device to European store shelves before Christmas, though the exact price and release date have not yet been confirmed. In Asia, the printer is already on sale, where it costs the equivalent of around 700 CZK, with an extra roll of paper priced at about 70 CZK.
