A multi-vehicle crash occurred this morning at the 7.5-kilometre mark of the D5 highway heading toward Prague. Police reported on social media platform X that the accident was recorded at seven o'clock in the morning.

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene, and traffic heading toward Prague was completely shut down. According to police spokeswoman Michaela Richterová, one of the drivers crashed into vehicles that were stopped in a traffic jam.

Traffic partially restored

Shortly after eight o'clock, traffic was allowed to resume on the left lane, the National Traffic Information Centre reported. The right lane is expected to remain closed until around ten o'clock in the morning.

According to rescuers, one person sustained minor injuries in the crash.
