Prague 10 Launches Fourth Season of

The Prague 10 municipal office has announced the launch of the fourth season of the "Entrepreneur of the Tenth" (Podnikatel Desítky) competition. Residents of the district can nominate candidates in five categories, and the grand prize winner will be chosen by vote among the best entries in each category.

"I'm glad this survey is continuing for a fourth year in a row. Previous seasons have shown which entrepreneurs are most popular among residents and have managed to earn their long-term trust. Behind every beloved business are real people — their courage, persistence and daily hard work," said district mayor Martin Valovič (ODS).

Five Categories and a Grand Prize

Entrepreneurs can be nominated in five main categories: restaurants and pubs, small-scale food service, relaxation, beauty and health, crafts, and other services and shops. In each category, the contestant who receives the most votes in the final round will win.

A separate award, the Jindřich Waldes Prize, will be given to the overall winner of the competition. According to district representative Jan Bruno Tropp, this prize will go to the entrepreneur who receives the most votes in a special round, where voters choose one favorite among the winners of the five main categories.

Who Can Take Part

Entrepreneurs are eligible if they operate a physical location within Prague 10 and employ fewer than 50 people. Non-profit organizations and online shops without a physical location in the district are not eligible to participate.

"This survey highlights entrepreneurs who set the standard in their field through their work and whom residents of the Tenth know well from everyday life. That's why, alongside food service, we also recognize crafts, relaxation, beauty and health, retail, and other services," explained councillor Adam Štěpánek (ODS), who is in charge of organizing the competition.

Voting takes place in two stages: first, residents submit candidates by category through an online form, and then the public can vote for the nominees to determine the winners of the five main categories as well as the recipient of the grand prize. Nominations and further details are available at podnikateldesitky.praha10.cz.
