President Pavel and Keanu Reeves cross paths again — this time in New York

Czech President Petr Pavel attended an awards ceremony in New York at the personal request of one of the honorees. On stage, he introduced the evening's top nominee — Finnish President and his friend Alexander Stubb — praising his leadership on European security and his contribution to transatlantic cooperation.

Also at the event was actor Keanu Reeves, who presented an award to Formula 1 CEO Stefano Domenicali. Reeves and Pavel chatted for a few minutes.

A Prague pint as a continuation of their friendship

This wasn't the first time Pavel and Reeves had met. The actor previously visited Prague with his rock band Dogstar, in which he plays bass. Pavel personally gave the musicians a tour of Prague Castle, and the visit wrapped up at the historic Vikárka tavern within the castle walls, where the group shared a round of beer.

For Keanu Reeves, the trip to Czechia was hardly his first — he's been here before, both as an actor and as a musician.
