Russian Politician Threatens Britain with an "Oreshnik" Missile Strike Over Drones

Russian Politician Threatens Britain with an

The leader of the "Fair Russia" party, Sergei Mironov, said that Russia should launch an "Oreshnik" missile strike on British factories producing long-range drones. The statement was reported by the TASS news agency.

"Fools need to be taught a lesson, and I think the time has come to attack the factories producing long-range drones in the United Kingdom. The 'Oreshnik' missile with a warhead has not yet been tested in real combat conditions — now is the right moment," Mironov said. According to him, the Russian leadership is currently showing remarkable restraint, while "idiots sit on the other side" who mistake this restraint for weakness. In the last State Duma elections, Mironov's party received just under 7.5% of the vote.

Russian Embassy Had Already Threatened London

Even before Mironov's statement, the Russian embassy in London had already issued threats against Britain. "London's actions will inevitably have consequences that it will have to answer for. The deeper its involvement in the conflict, and the greater its support for the Kyiv terrorist apparatus, the higher the price it will have to pay," the embassy wrote on Facebook.

In response to this threat, British Prime Minister Andy Burnham said that Britain would continue to support Ukraine "one hundred percent," the BBC reports.

What Sparked Moscow's Anger

The outrage in Russia was triggered by confirmed reports that the Ukrainian army used drones manufactured at a British factory to strike deep inside Russian territory. Moscow, which regularly sharply criticizes any assistance to Ukraine, has reacted in a similar way before — such as when London handed Kyiv subsonic Storm Shadow cruise missiles, and allies supplied F-16 fighter jets and several types of tanks.

Meanwhile, Russia itself is being supported in the war by Iran, which supplies "Shahed" drones, as well as by China and North Korea. According to Kyiv, North Korea has already sent thousands of troops to Moscow, with around 50,000 more soldiers expected to arrive.
