20-year-old motorcyclist dies after crashing into tree in Jindřichův Hradec

A 20-year-old motorcyclist has died after losing control of his bike in the Jindřichův Hradec area of South Bohemia. The crash occurred on Monday at around 3:30 pm, South Bohemian police spokesman Miroslav Šupík reported.

According to the officer, the motorcyclist was likely riding too fast, lost control of the vehicle, ran off the road and crashed into a tree.

An ambulance crew and a rapid response medical vehicle were dispatched to the scene. Rescue service spokesman Vojtěch Míra said that by the time paramedics arrived, the young man was already receiving resuscitation guided by phone instructions — a dispatcher from the medical emergency call centre had been talking bystanders through the procedure before the crews got there.

Medical teams continued resuscitation efforts on site. Despite all their efforts, however, the motorcyclist died of severe multiple injuries.
