Artis Claims First Win of the Season, Beating Pardubice 2:1

Brno side Artis picked up their first win of the current Czech First League season, coming from behind to beat Pardubice 2:1 away from home. The result came in Round 6, which also saw Baník Ostrava and Zbrojovka Brno claim victories.

In Pardubice, the hosts took an early lead in the 16th minute through a goal from Tobiáš Boledovič. However, Artis turned the match around in the second half: Alexis Alegue equalised in the 72nd minute, and Albert Labík scored the winner in the 83rd. The match drew 2,420 spectators.

A Dramatic Finish in Brno

An even tenser encounter played out between Zbrojovka Brno and Zlín, which ended in a 3:2 win for the hosts. Zlín remain the only club in the league yet to pick up a single point this season.

The home side opened the scoring in the 23rd minute through Daniel Vašulín, who netted his third goal of the campaign. Zlín equalised in the 59th minute with a header from Michal Fukala, but just a minute later Zlín defender Miloš Kopečný turned the ball into his own net. Jakub Černín brought the visitors within touching distance of their first point of the season in the 86th minute, but Filip Vedral sealed the win for Zbrojovka deep into stoppage time, in the third minute of added time. Right before the final whistle, Zlín substitute Tomáš Hellebrand was shown a red card. The match attracted 7,183 fans.

Baník Overtakes Olomouc Amid Injury Concern

Ostrava beat Olomouc 1:0, with the only goal coming in the first minute of first-half stoppage time from 19-year-old defender Jiří Míček, who netted his first-ever league goal. The defeat ended Sigma's three-match winning streak, dropping the club to fifth place in the incomplete standings.

Baník, meanwhile, secured their second consecutive league win and now sit in eighth place, having played one match fewer than their rivals. The game was overshadowed by a serious injury to home forward Abdallah Gning, who suffered a broken leg. More than 10,000 fans attended the match at the stadium in Ostrava.
