Car plows into two motorcyclists near Blansko, young woman dies at the scene

A serious crash occurred on the road between Blansko and the village of Jedovnice, near Lažánky, when a car collided with two motorcycles. According to police, one person died at the scene.

Police spokesman David Chaloupka said that, according to preliminary information, a couple was riding a motorcycle along the road when a car drifted out of its lane and slammed into the motorcyclists. Firefighters, who reported the incident on the social network Threads, closed the road in the area.

Rescue service spokeswoman Michaela Bofová said paramedics tried to resuscitate a young woman, but despite their best efforts they were unable to restore her vital signs — she died at the scene. A young man was given first aid and taken to hospital to rule out more serious injuries. In addition, another person at the scene received help after developing an acute stress reaction.

Police are now working to establish the exact causes and circumstances of the crash.
