Kiss Record New Song Despite Ending Their Touring Career

Legendary rock band Kiss have recorded a new song, even though they officially wrapped up live touring several years ago. The news was revealed by the band's guitarist Tommy Thayer in an interview with GuitarWorld.

"We recorded a great new song that Paul wrote. That's probably all I can say right now," the musician said. According to him, Kiss have no interest in putting out new material just for the sake of it — the band wants every release to feel like an event with a genuine reason behind it.

"Kiss may have stopped touring, but that doesn't mean the band's life has stopped. A lot is still happening, and there are quite a few new projects in the works right now," Thayer added.

New Material and the Avatar Show

Back in May, the band's vocalist and bassist Gene Simmons confirmed that the group was working in the studio on a new track written by Paul Stanley. According to available information, the new material could be used in Kiss's upcoming avatar show, which is being developed together with Pophouse Entertainment. Simmons had previously said that alongside the band's biggest hits, these shows would also feature new Kiss songs.

In addition, Kiss will perform at the Kiss Kruise: Land-Locked In Vegas festival, taking place from November 13 to 15, 2026, at the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. The band will play two shows without their signature makeup: one acoustic set and one electric.
