Prague 22 Invites Parents to the Welcoming Ceremony for New Citizens

The Prague 22 municipal district is organizing its traditional "Welcoming New Citizens" ceremony for families with newborns, set to take place on September 22. The district administration announced the event.

Parents of babies with permanent residency in Uhříněves, Hájek u Uhříněves, or Pitkovice — areas within Prague 10 that fall under the Prague 22 district — are eligible to take part. The exact time of the ceremony will be specified in a personal invitation sent by email.

How to Apply

Those wishing to participate must fill out an application form and submit it in one of several ways: by mail to the district office, by email to administration staff members Jana Kumštátová or Ilona Vavreková, or in person at the institution's registry office. Applications will only be accepted until Sunday, September 6. The application form can be downloaded from the district administration's official website.

"Welcoming New Citizens is one of the most heartwarming events we hold, and I'm glad that on September 22 I'll once again have the chance to personally greet the youngest residents of Prague 22 and meet their parents and families," said district mayor Kanera.
