Prague Opens the City's Longest Slide in Julisky

On 1 September 2026, a new slide opened in Prague's Julisky neighbourhood, running alongside the well-known staircase that connects Pod Juliskou and Na Julisce streets. Locals and athletes from the nearby Julisky stadium have long used these steps as part of their training routine.
The slide measures 40.2 metres in length — according to the Prague 6 district authorities, this makes it the longest slide of its kind in Prague and one of the longest in the whole of Czechia. The ride starts off fast but ends in a long, flat stretch that lets riders slow down and come to a safe stop.
Who can ride it
The slide isn't just for kids — anyone at least 120 centimetres tall and weighing no more than 200 kilograms can use it. For safety reasons, only one person is allowed on the slide at a time.
Opening hours and price
Riding the slide is free of charge. It's open during daytime hours, with the entrances closed off at night. The slide also doesn't operate when temperatures drop below 4°C or during heavy rain.
