Two women accused of stealing 350,000 crowns from a pensioner in Cheb under the guise of sexual services

Police in the Czech town of Cheb have charged two women with stealing nearly 350,000 crowns from a 65-year-old man they had met back in April. Investigators say the pair operated according to a carefully planned scheme: while one woman kept the pensioner distracted, the other ransacked his apartment.

The scheme was simple — and repeatable. According to police spokesman Jakub Kopřiva, the 20-year-old woman would visit the man at home and offer him intimate services. While the pair retreated to the bathroom, her 42-year-old accomplice would slip into the apartment, giving herself plenty of time to search the place thoroughly and locate the man's hidden cash.

The scam worked more than once

After the first visit, the pensioner didn't even realise he'd been robbed — so the con artists decided to try the trick again. Two days later, the younger woman called him once more to arrange another meeting. According to police, everything unfolded exactly as it had the first time.

Two successful runs weren't enough for the pair, and a few days later they turned up at the man's flat again. This time, the older woman decided to grab the entire envelope of cash in one go — but she slipped up while trying to make her getaway, dropping part of the stolen money in the building's stairwell.

The victim went to the police

Only then did the 65-year-old victim start wondering where his money had been disappearing to. By that point, however, it was too late: cash totalling nearly 350,000 crowns had gradually vanished from his apartment. The man reported the thefts to police.

Investigators opened a criminal case and have charged both women with theft. If found guilty, they face up to three years in prison, the police spokesman noted.
