Putin places Russian assets of Nestlé and Auchan under external management

Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the Russian assets of Swiss food giant Nestlé and French supermarket chain Auchan to be placed under temporary external management. The move was reported by Reuters, citing a presidential decree signed on Thursday.

Under the decree, the role of temporary administrator for these assets has been assigned to L.E.V. Management.

Nestlé announced it was suspending commercial operations in Russia after the start of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, saying it would continue supplying only "essential and basic goods for the local population."
